Intercom
Seamless communication at every point of the lift.
The Aselfon M8 is not only an emergency phone that calls out; it is also an intercom system inside the lift. During maintenance the team in the machine room, on the car roof, inside the car and in the pit talk to each other directly. The same system connects to the outside over the SIM card: a person trapped in the car reaches the stored numbers with the alarm button.
Team talk during maintenance
The machine room, car roof, car and pit all talk to each other.
Outside line via SIM card
Pressing the alarm button calls the stored numbers; the call is two-way.
Machine room unitM8 PLUS
The orange unit is included in the Aselfon M8 Plus package.
Everything else is the same in both models; the only difference is the orange machine room unit.

Dual Network
If one network drops, the other takes over.
Aselfon M8 works over both 2G and 4G. When 4G coverage weakens inside the shaft, the device falls back to 2G and keeps carrying the call. In emergency communication, downtime is not an option.
4G/LTE as the primary link
2G fallback — automatic switch when coverage drops
External antenna connection for in-shaft coverage

Standards Compliance
Everything the standards require, in one device.
Elevator emergency communication is not an optional feature — it is a requirement. Aselfon M8 is designed to meet the communication requirements of the elevator standards in force.
There is no single brand in the field. Aselfon M8 is designed to work with elevator control panels from different manufacturers — it integrates without replacing the existing wiring.

Works With
Manage all your elevator operations from one panel with Aselmind.
Aselfon M8 works on its own. Connect it to Aselmind and every cabin's status, every call record and the maintenance plan land on the same screen.
Open the wiring diagram that comes in the box as a PDF (in Turkish), or read the same information step by step in English on the installation guide page: power, intercom line, panel signals and number setup commands.
Aselfon M8 is an elevator emergency communication device (elevator intercom) that lets a person trapped in the car hold a two-way voice call with the outside. It places the call over the 2G and 4G mobile network instead of a fixed line. It is designed and manufactured in Denizli, Türkiye by Aselsis.
In practice they all describe the same device: the emergency communication unit that lets a person trapped in the car talk to the outside. In the field it is called an "elevator intercom", "lift intercom", "elevator emergency telephone" or simply a "diaphone"; models that work over the mobile network are also called a "GSM lift intercom" or "elevator GSM module"; standards call it an emergency communication system. Aselfon M8 is that device, and it also works as an intercom between the machine room, car top, pit and car.
An alarm button only sounds a local warning; if nobody is in the building, the call reaches no one. An emergency communication device carries the call over the mobile network to pre-defined numbers and opens a two-way voice conversation between the trapped person and the responder. EN 81-28 covers the remote alarm systems that provide this two-way conversation.
No. Aselfon M8 places the emergency call over the 2G and 4G mobile network, so no fixed (PSTN) line is needed in the building. Inserting a SIM card is enough.
Yes. Aselfon M8 supports 2G and 4G together. When 4G coverage weakens at its location, the device automatically falls back to 2G and keeps carrying the emergency call. An external antenna connection supports in-shaft coverage.
Aselfon M8 is designed with TS EN 81-20 (safety rules for the construction and installation of lifts), TS EN 81-28 (remote alarm on lifts) and TS EN 81-70 (accessibility for everyone, including persons with disability) in mind.
Aselfon M8 is compatible with elevator control panels from different manufacturers. The intercom units connect to the main board with just two cables each, using labelled screw terminals; no extra interface board is needed.
The Aselfon M8 system has separate intercoms for inside the car, the car top and the shaft pit; Aselfon M8 Plus adds a machine room intercom. All of them connect to the Aselfon M8 main board, which carries the call out over the mobile network.
The Aselfon M8 box contains: the Aselfon M8 A board, two B intercoms, one C intercom, three 2-way, three 3-way and one 4-way female terminals, an antenna, the wiring diagram and user manual, and the in-cabin warning label. The Aselfon M8 Plus box additionally contains one machine room intercom. No extra parts need to be ordered for installation.
Both models use the same Aselfon M8 main board and the same car-top, pit and in-car intercoms. The only difference is that the Aselfon M8 Plus package also includes the orange machine room intercom, so the technician in the machine room can talk directly to the car top, the pit and the car.
Aselfon M8 runs on a 12 V – 24 V DC supply. It is rated IP54 and designed to operate between -20 °C and +60 °C.
Aselfon M8 is commissioned in three steps: connect the intercom units to the main board with two cables each, insert the SIM card, then apply power and place a test call. No complex configuration is needed; installation takes minutes.
Yes. Aselfon M8 can also be run without a SIM card when needed. With a SIM card inserted, it carries the emergency call out over the 2G and 4G mobile network.
Yes. Aselfon M8 works as an intercom between the points of the lift: during maintenance the team on the car roof, inside the car and in the pit can talk to each other. With the orange unit in the machine room, included in the Aselfon M8 Plus package, the machine room joins these calls too.
Aselfon M8 has no operator lock-in; it works with a nano SIM card from the GSM operator you choose. The card goes into the push-push slot on the main board. Contact Aselsis for line and subscription options.
Yes. Aselfon M8 works on its own; when connected to Aselmind, Aselsis's elevator management software, the status of every car, the record of every call and the maintenance plan are followed on one screen.
The price depends on the model (Aselfon M8 or M8 Plus), the number of lifts and the installation needs, so no list price is published on the site. A lift emergency phone (also called a lift autodialler) lets a person trapped in the car press the alarm button and talk to someone outside. On Aselfon M8, pressing the alarm button makes the device call pre-set numbers; yellow and green lights on the in-car intercom, in line with EN 81-28/70, show the person in the car the status of the call.
The Aselfon M8 main board is powered from the control panel and a 12 V battery; the in-car, car-roof and pit intercoms connect to the board over a two-wire A-B line, and the door, floor and out-of-service signals come from the panel. All terminals, number setup commands and commissioning steps are on the Aselfon M8 installation guide page and on the wiring diagram in the box.
Aselfon M6 is our previous model and runs on 2G only. Aselfon M8 supports 2G and 4G together, connects with 2 cables instead of 5 and stores 5 call numbers instead of 3; adjustable volume, battery measurement and (on M8 Plus) the machine room intercom are new. The Aselfon M6 wiring diagram and user manual are on the Documents page.
